Penn Design is an inventive place of learning where the many fields of architecture, planning, preservation, landscape and the fine arts come together on shared ground. Penn Design is dedicated to design that is creative in nature and transformative in impact. In a collaborative environment that fosters inquiry and experimentation, faculty and students seek to recast the distinction between theory and practice, expand knowledge and invention through research, and contribute works of value and beauty.

The Outcome

The result is a clear design conversation platform, where Penn Design is engaging actively with its students and faculty at large. The first Tweet Talk in the new format was held in 2014. The topic was "design and the play instinct". The subject was discussed by some of the most influential minds in the art and design world.
